    Experience and Training

I have spent over 20 years working as a counsellor, during my training and since qualification. Over this time, extensive experience of working with clients both short and long term has been gained as well as specialist experience of time limited work with clients who have addiction issues. In this field I have undertaken further training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solution focused techniques. In addition, I have also worked longer term with clients who have required deeper exploration of issues such as: abuse, addiction, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, self esteem, loss, bereavement, work-related issues, depression and child related issues.

At present I work from my home practice and regularly see clients who have a wide range of issues for both short and long term work. I have clients who are referred to me by work place schemes for counselling as well as those clients who contact me directly.

    Appointments and fees

If you think that you may need counselling you can telephone me for a chat or email me if you prefer, in the first instance. If, after this, you would like to make an appointment for an initial meeting, we can book a time that is convenient for you.

My fees are 50 for an initial assessment and then 50 for each ongoing weekly counselling session. I am open to discussion regarding concessionary rates.
